Just recently, James announced that Highland Capital Management would award one million grant challenge to a charitable organization based in Dallas. The organization is known as The Family Place. The money donated will help the organization will be used to support family violence victims living in the local area. The Family Place needs almost three million dollars for its campaign that will be starting in the less than six months. James Dondero made the special announcement when the Family Palace had its 21st Annual Texas Trailblazer. The event took place at the Hilton Anatole that is located in Texas.
According to a recent report from the Highland Capital Management, the grant will be administered to The Family Place through the newly formed Highland Dallas Foundation. Since it was formed, the Highland Dallas Foundation is in charge of all the philanthropic donations from Highland Capital Management. The grant is expected to match at least fifty percent of any of the funds that will be raised for The Family Place campaign up to one million. The challenge will be happening until April 2017.
